Background
About the song
Released on 7 May 2026 as part of the reissue of her album «Destinée», «Sexy Nana» pairs Aya Nakamura with the rapper La Rvfleuze over a trap beat produced by Joé Dwèt Filé and ABL Génie. The two verses do not answer each other so much as talk past each other: she spends hers establishing that she pays for her own things and owes nobody, while his is a street sketch of a night out. Nakamura has built a career on writing the way people actually speak in the Paris suburbs, and this is one of her densest examples — slang borrowed from West African French, from Romani and from English, all of it sung as if none of it needed explaining.
Did you know?
The song is a small museum of how Parisian French borrows: «nana» and «go» and «racli» all mean roughly «girl» but come from three different sources, and the track uses all three without translating any of them.
