Learning Italian through music
Italian is unusually kind to the ear: words end in vowels, stress falls roughly where you expect it, and a sung line rarely blurs into the mush that makes fast speech hard elsewhere. That makes it a good first Romance language and a particularly good one to learn through music, because the melody and the natural rhythm of the sentence tend to agree rather than fight. The hard part arrives later, with the verbs, so the catalog is graded to let you meet them a tense at a time.
