Songs at level B1
The 12 cards we grade at B1, across 5 languages and 1332 study entries. Every card links to its own page, with the words it teaches and a few real questions you can try without an account.
What B1 means for a song
At B1 you can follow the argument of a song even when a few words escape you, and that is the point at which music starts teaching faster than a textbook does. These cards bring in the tenses for things that did not happen — conditionals, and the subjunctive where the language has one — because that is where most lyrics actually live.

How we grade a song
Each card gets a CEFR grade from its own lyric — vocabulary spread, sentence length, tense range and how much of it is idiom. The full method is in the levels guide.
