Learning Dutch through music
Dutch sits close enough to English that a speaker recognises hundreds of words on sight — water, hand, winter, storm — and far enough away that word order and the guttural g have to be learned properly rather than guessed. Songs help with the half that reading never fixes: how the language actually runs when nobody is slowing it down for a learner. There are fewer Dutch songs here than English ones, so this part of the catalog is chosen rather than broad — every card is one worth knowing.
