Background
About the song
Mauvais djo released «Maladie (Cheveux blonds)» with an official video on 20 March 2026. The «illness» of the title is a joke he makes about himself — that he finds every woman beautiful — but the song does not stay there. By the last verse it has narrowed to one person, the one who was already around when he was still taking the bus, and the closing line simply says that he loves her more and more. The track moves between three languages without marking the seams: French, English in the intro, and Lingala in the ad-libs.
Did you know?
The Lingala phrases come from the Congolese diaspora in France and are common currency in French rap; they are sung, not explained, and most French listeners take them as rhythm rather than meaning.
